Clara Ketter, Sam Druant, Rickard Eklund

"Beyond the Veil". The exhibition features three artists - Clara Ketter, Sam Druant and Rickard Eklund - who draw on ancient spiritual traditions to explore themes of transformation, desire and perception. Through their work, they explore the thresholds between personal transformation and transitions to other worlds. Their work creates a dynamic dialog about the boundaries of self, narrative and perception.

Beyond the Veil exhibition

Sam Druant, (b.1998, Belgium)
Sam Druant received her BFA in Textiles from the LUCA School of Arts in Ghent and an MFA in Fine Arts from HDK-Valand. She currently lives and works in Gothenburg.

Tufted wool is her favorite medium, with which she creates playfully-naughty textile tableaux that question and/or mock male dominance. She starts conversations about identity, desire and the complexity of our human existence by combining texture, color and motif in striking artworks that encompass topics with relevant sexual allusions and questions.

Clara Ketter (b. 1998, Sweden)
Clara Ketter is a visual artist working interdisciplinary with sculpture and photography. She is currently finishing her Master of Fine Arts at the Sandberg Instituut (NL) and works between Malmö and Amsterdam. She holds a bachelor's degree in fine art photography from HDK-Valand (SE).

Her work reflects on the structure and function of narrative, drawing on ideas about the changing ways in which stories are constructed and altered through time, perspective and circumstance. She explores the liminal space where fictional stories may exist before they are made, formulated and told.

Rickard Eklund (b. 1987, Sweden)
Rickard Eklund is a visual artist who works with sculpture, film, light and graphics, mainly exploring themes related to perception and perspective. In addition to his own artworks, he also creates music videos, album covers and collaborates in other ways with music creators. He currently commutes between his studio in Gothenburg and his home in Stockholm.
